When port volumes are slower, drivers may support intermodal or LTL operations to ensure consistent work and earning opportunities.

Job Details

• Local driving position
• Pull containers from LA/Long Beach ports and BNSF rail facilities
• Deliver freight throughout Southern California
• Handle 20', 40', 45', and 53' containers
• Port operations are the primary responsibility
• Combination of drop-and-hook and live unload freight
• Intermodal and LTL support work available when port volume slows
• Occasional pallet jack unloading may be required on select loads

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• TWIC card required prior to scheduling
• Hazmat endorsement required within 60 days of hire
• Strong safety record
• Professional and dependable work ethic
• Ability to operate safely in busy port and rail environments

Special Requirements

• Must be willing to run port freight on a daily basis
• Must be willing to assist with intermodal and LTL freight when needed
• Ability to operate a pallet jack on occasional deliveries
• Flexibility to support multiple freight operations as business needs require
